A few tips on what to look for when purchasing a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Puppy!!
1) Find a reputable Breeder, contact breed clubs & the Kennel Club
2) Only buy from fully health tested Stock ~ L2, HC & PHPV
3) It is better to buy a KC registered Pup
4) Reputable breeders will ask you many questions and won't mind you asking them questions
5) A puppy should be seen with the Mother and Littermates
6) Blue pups should be sold for the same as any other colour ~ BLUE IS NOT A RARE COLOUR!! nor is Champagne, peach or whatever other silly colour you see advertised!!
7) Dogs should not be offered at stud before they are at least 12 months of age!!
People that breed unregistered, non health tested dogs do not care about the welfare of the breed, they care about lining their pockets!! Thousands of SBT's go through rescue every year, unscrupulous breeders add to this problem. Please do your homework, before buying a puppy!!
Read up on L2 & HC at the AHT and Test your breeding stock!!
